Facebook has introduced with the new feature of group chat to give users control to share their information and stuff. It has become a lot popular these days. If you have a group of people discussing about something, then this is the awesome solution. But sometimes, some of your friends in a group are online and having a chat but you are not willing to join the conversation on the group chat then, it becomes quite irritating for you as facebook pings you with those red coloured digits signifying the many lines of text sent will glare at you like anything!
So to avoid this, do this :
Go to the edit settings option which is available on the right hand side top as below.
Then you will get the following screen.
Now Uncheck the “Send me group chat messages” option and Click on Save Settings and You’re done!

i create a fresh friend’s list and add all those guys to it who are part of the group i’m. and when i don’t feel like talking to them, i put that list on off-line. so those guys dont see me online and hence i dont get popups, but i’m online for others.
Hi Krishanu, thats perfectly fine!! Here, I am talking about the Facebook Groups Chat…Sometimes, when somebody sends the message to the group then chat starts up and disturbing the other online members of the group. So you can disable that from the given option
hey i got a question every time i get on my group chat on facebook it seems to say offline and people are not off line what do i do to make it say online again

Goto Edit Settings and click on Send me group chat messages. Your problem will get solved
YEAH BUT I DID THAT AND IT STILL SAYS ITS OFFLINE AND ITS NOT REALLY DOING ANYTHING SO WHAT DO I DO IF IT STILL SAYS IM OFF LINE
Try renewing your membership in the group. Remove and again add yourself in the group! This might solve our problem!

Is it happening only with group chat or with normal chat? *the one which says you are offline*

how to delete the group conversation started by me in fb…
so that no other will receive or else can message in that conversation.
There is delete conversation button in the conversation full area.
