How to get better Visualization for Turbo C++ 3.0 in Vista or Win 7 !

First of all I would like to tell you…the method I m goin to tell is not for the total full screen mode ! its just for improving the visualization of  TC ++…

Open TC++ (normally C:\TC\BIN\TC.EXE). In the startup it will show a dialogue box that it doesn’t support full screen mode as seen in the picture below. Just select ignore option. Then it will open the small screen mode.

11

Step 2: Go to the top left of the window and click. It will show a menu as shown in the figure. Then select properties from the menu.

12

Step 3: Now it will show the properties window, in which you select the Font tab. There you can see two font options as Raster and Lucida Console. The default will be Raster. You select Lucida Console and select the size from the size list as 28.

13

Step 4: After selecting the fonts, now you have to select the layout tab where you can see screen buffer size, window size, and window position options. First unselect the “Let system position window” option from window position options. Now make the following changes:

  • Screen Buffer Size: Width: 82 Height: 28
  • Window Size: Width: 80 Height: 26
  • Window Position: Left: -4 Top: -4

14

After making the changes select OK.

Now you will see a larger window and very crisp font size in which you can work perfectly fine. This technique actually doesn’t provide full screen in Vista but you will find it much better.

15

NB: The given sizes will work fine for 1280 by 800 screens, but there is no compulsion that you have to use them as specified. You can always use your own options according to your need.

Enjoy !

JUG Nagpur – August Meet

The Second meet of JUG Nagpur took place on 30th August. It was too encouraging for me as I came to learn a lot many things from this meeting…

Mr. Rohan Ranade from United States

Rohan Ranade Sir attended the meet directly from United States.  We had used SKYPE for conferencing .He also made a talk on “GUI Bloopers” which I very much liked. You can see about the bloopers from here.

Mr. Tushar Joshi, founder of the JUG, Nagpur also attended the meet. It was good to be with him. We learnt a lot many things from him.

The JUG meet was held at SRKNEC campus only. Prof. M.B.Chandak, HOD, Comp Science Department, SRKNEC also attended the meet and shared his lambasting views and ideas. He also offered the JUG meeting’s venue as SRKNEC as long as possible. 🙂   He was very much eager to promote the idea of the JUG, Nagpur.

As the meet conducted in SRKNEC campus so many students attended the meet this time. First meet conducted in InfoSpectrum so many professionals were there rather than the students but this time some thing different. Kanan Totawar had given the demo on the SUN SPOT technology. We have had a tremendous time in organising the meet. Purpose of the Demo was that we can use the SUN SPOTS instead of the mouse. Interesting na 🙂

This time on 27th September the meet was organised but due to the exams of ours, the meet was canceled.

The next time we will make sure that both the professionals and the students will attend the meet which didnt happened last two times…Lets hope for the best.. 🙂
